Peter Irwin has been called by many the leading wind consultant in the world. He developed measurement methods for wind tunnel testing of buildings and structures that are now used by many organizations. He has been wind consultant for Burj Khalifa (the world's tallest building), Taipei 101, and the Petronas Towers, to name just a few of his landmark projects. As CEO of RWDI he led the firm to international acclaim and business success as the world's premier wind engineering firm. He has also made major contributions to wind and snow load provisions in standards and building codes in Canada and elsewhere. He has received many awards for his work by Canadian, US, UK and International Organizations.  In 2018 he was named to Member of the Order of Canada.
