Paul Acchione was the 2013-14 President and Chair of Ontario Society of Professional Engineers. The Society benefited from Paul's experience and determination to establish itself as a public policy advisor. He is instrumental in expanding the role of engineers as public policy advisers. He successfully raised the profile of engineers in Ontario and continues to encourage engineers to contribute to public policy development. His leadership contributes to public recognition of the value of engineers to society. He believes engineers offer unique and valuable skills and experience that are essential in developing effective public policies in areas that are highly technical.
