Professional Biography
Dr. Dardeen is the owner of Suncrest Psychological Services, LLC. Dr. Dardeen has been in practice working with people to improve their lives since 2002. She is a licensed clinical psychologist, and a former first responder. She has spent a significant amount of her career working with veterans returning from active conflicts and in applying these skills to our law enforcement officers, firefighters, and EMS crews that have often and repeated exposures to traumatic scenes. She is a certified insomnia specialist and enjoys helping people improve their sleep, which has a significant impact on other aspects of life as well. She offers two evidence-based treatments for trauma including Cognitive Processing Therapy and EMDR. She is also highly trained to provide Critical Incident Stress Debriefings as part of a larger support network of CISM services. She provides therapy/trauma support and CISM services by contract for several local first responder agencies including Lafayette Police Department, Lafayette Fire Department, Monticello Fire Department, Monticello Police Department, Crawfordsville Police Department, and Logansport Fire Department. She is also the clinial director for 6th Alarm Peer Support, a non-profit organization of trained peer supporters who are local first responders providing peer support to all types of first responder agencies in Tippecanoe county and surrounding counties.
