Dr. Bove is a Licensed New York State Psychologist with a
Doctorate in Clinical and School Psychology who has been in private practice
for over 20 years. She is a Fellow and Diplomate of the American Academy of
Experts in Traumatic Stress. She has taught psychology at Wagner College and as
a Graduate Faculty member of Capella, a web-based University. She chaired the
Monitoring and Evaluation Committee and was member of the Committees on
Privileging and Supervision of Psychologists in a Psychiatric Center. She
achieved supervisory status in the Family Support Project of Columbia
University and was Director of the Learning Disabilities Program at Hofstra
University. She is Past Staten Island Representative to Council of NYSPA and
Past President of RCPA. Dr. Bove has a full-time psychotherapy practice. She is
also a Hypnotherapist, and Personal and Executive Coach.

Dr. Bove has given presentations, published articles in magazines and
newsletters, given radio and TV interviews involving areas such as trauma,
bereavement, dissociation, communication, pain management, behavioral medicine
in cardiology, infertility, depression, and stress. She has co-authored papers
in cardiac research studies, and is writing her second poetry book. Dr. Bove
received the Distinguished Service Award from NYSPA, and the Dr. Deitch
Humanitarian and Public Service Award from RCPA.

Following the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center, Dr. Bove worked
extensively in a firehouse that lost many men, with family members and others
intimately touched by 9/11 and with the general community. Dr. Bove conceived
and spearheaded the Garden of Healing, a place of tribute for those lost on
9/11, of solace for anyone affected by 9/11 and its aftermath, and those
suffering from any cataclysmic event. She ran debriefings, workshops with
children, workshops with school principals and teachers on the effects of
trauma in order to reduce its current and far-reaching effects.
