Naji Abi-Hashem is a Clinical and Cultural Psychologist, Author, Speaker, Consultant, Visiting Professor, and Independent Scholar.
He is Lebanese-American involved in writing, editing, publishing, conference presentation, training, counseling, international service, global networking, volunteer work, and caring for leaders and caregivers. He has taught and lectured at several universities, colleges, institutions, and seminaries in the United States, the Middle East, Europe, & Asia.
Previously, he was a Staff Psychologist with the Meier Clinics (formerly Minirth & Meier New Life Clinics) providing inpatient and outpatient counseling & psychotherapy services in Seattle, Washington (1992-2004). Also he was appointed a Visiting Scholar at the Graduate School of Intercultural Studies, at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, CA (2006-2007) and at the Graduate Theological Union (GTU) in Berkeley, California (2006-2008).
Dr. Abi-Hashem is Fully Licensed in the State of Washington since 1995.

He is an active Member or a Diplomate in a number of professional associations and international organizations. Throught the years, he served on the Board of Directors or as a Member of Trustees for about 12 agencies and organizations.
He writes and speaks on matters related to psychology, counseling, social justice, cross-cultural competency, general humanities, religious faith & values, globalization, immigrants & refugees, political dynamics, Middle Eastern mentalities, formation of worldview, fundamentalism, radicalism, loss, grief, trauma, pastoral care, and spirituality.
So far, he has made about 100 professional presentations at various scholarly conferences and conventions and has authored about 100 academic publications in form of journal articles, encyclopedia entries, book chapters, training videos, and general essays.
He served as an Adjunct Professor at the Lebanese American University in 2016, and since 2010 he has been an Associate with "Member Care International." In 2019 he was appointed a Non-Resident Schola at Baylor University's Institute for Study of Religion: An Interdisciplinary Research Center. Since 2004, he has been dividing his time between the United States and Beirut, Lebanon.
