While decades have passed, Dr. McCarthy's optimism and belief in the limitless potential and buoyancy of the human spirit remains an endless source of motivation and excitement as he works with others on a daily basis.

He remains on the Executive Advisory Board of the National Board for Certified Clinical Hypnotherapists (NBCCH).

In 1990, Dr. McCarthy was selected as the American Mental Health Counselor Association's Counselor of the Year from a pool of nationwide nominees. Several years ago, he was named a Master Therapist by the American Psychotherapy Association.
