About Me


Miguel F. Anjos is a Professor at Polytechnique Montreal. He is renowned internationally for his research accomplishments in the field of mathematical optimization and its applications in engineering. He currently holds an Inria International Chair and the NSERC-Hydro-Quebec-Schneider Electric Senior Industrial Research Chair on Optimization for the Smart Grid. He earned degrees from McGill University, Stanford University, and the University of Waterloo. He was the Founding Academic Director of the Trottier Institute for Energy at Polytechnique, which promotes the search for sustainable global energy solutions. His accolades include a Canada Research Chair, the Méritas Teaching Award, a Humboldt Research Fellowship, and the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal.
