About Me


Lotfollah Shafai of Manitoba University is recognized for his many award-winning antenna system designs for the Satcom industry, and for his technical contributions to communications and antenna research, which include CAD software for optimal design of satellite communications, remote sensing and radio astronomy antennas. He has also played a leadership role at NSERC, including Group Chair for Engineering, strategic panels and chair of grant selection committees. He has created a world-class antenna laboratory at the University of Manitoba, founded successful ANTEM series of international conferences and provided generous assistance to students and others in establishing new electromagnetics and telecom companies.
