Dr. Chang, Professor at the University of New Brunswick, is recognized as an authority and a world leader in the field of renewable energy conversion and distributed electric power systems.  His accomplishments included innovation and development of electronic power converters that enable the integration of wind energy, solar energy and marine energy systems with the electric power grid.  He has created a world class research lab at UNB where he has trained new graduates as leaders in the field and he has established the Canadian Wind Energy Strategic Network, a nationwide partnership among government agencies, the industrial sector and universities, with a mandate to solve technical challenges for deploying wind energy systems throughout Canada, and to empower the Canadian manufacturing sector.
