About Me


Dr. Leonard Lye, PEng, FEC, FCSCE, Emeritus Professor and former Associate Dean in the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science at Memorial University of Newfoundland, is an inventor, entrepreneur, and mentor. His inventions have been commercialized and are being used worldwide by universities, professional coaches, and international companies. He established an innovative charity for which he was honoured with a Lifetime Achievement award. He has won multiple awards for teaching and community service including the PEGNL's Service, Community Service Teaching, and Merit Awards, and Fellowship by Engineers Canada, the Canadian Society for Civil Engineering, and Engineerinbg Institute of Canada. As an academic, he has mentored over 35 graduate students and published over 160 papers in journals and conferences.
