About Me
Michel is a Professor of Social and Preventive Medicine whose career has been devoted to HIV and STD prevention research. He received the Mark Wainberg Lecturer Award from the Canadian Association for HIV Research in 2008, and the Researcher Emeritus Award from the Quebec Population Health Research Network in 2016. He was President of the International Society for STD Research (2007-11) and chaired its 2011 international conference in Québec. Michel is currently the Director of Population Health Research at the CHU de Québec.
