About Me


Dr. Nandakumar has had a distinguished career in chemical engineering in Canada. Since receiving his PhD in chemical engineering from the Princeton University in 1979, he has made outstanding contributions to the field of Computational Fluid Dynamics, spanning a broad range of studies from bifurcation phenomena to multiphase systems and its application to electrochemical, chemical, mineral, and polymer processes. He has published over 125 refereed journal publications and numerous conference presentations. He has received several awards in recognition of his outstanding research and teaching, including the Alexander von Humboldt research fellowship, Albright and Wilson Americas Award, the Killam annual professorship, and the Excellence in Education award from APEGGA. He is currently the Cain Chair Professor at Louisiana State University.
