Civica was created to reduce and prevent drug shortages and the price spikes that can accompany them. Its mission is to make quality generic medicines accessible and affordable to everyone.
Civica Petersburg is a 140,000 square foot state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, established with $100M federal support combined with private funding, to create a source of U.S.-made injectable medicines. Along with products on the FDA drug shortages list, Civica will manufacture quality, affordable insulin. Civica Petersburg wil manufacture the three types of insulin that account for the majority of insulin use in the United States and our insulins will be available to consumers at no more than $30 per vial and $55 for five pens – approximately a 90 percent reduction from current list prices.
