Jonathan Rose is a Professor in the Edward S. Rogers Sr. Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Toronto. He is a pioneer and world leader in the area of field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs). He has done seminal research in both their architecture and the computer-aided design (CAD) tools needed to use and explore them and has participated in the architectural development of the two key commercial FPGAs in the market today. In 1998 he co-founded Right Track CAD Corporation, which delivers CAD tools and architectures to vendors of FPGAs.
