Tamás Terlaky is a leading optimization expert with four authored books and over 180 scientific papers. He is Founding Editor-in-Chief of the journal Optimization and Engineering. Currently Endowed Chair Professor at Lehigh University, previously Canada Research Chair in Optimization at McMaster University, Founding Director of Canada's first School of Computational Engineering and Science. He received the MITACS Mentorship Award, the Award of Merit of CORS, the Egerváry Award of the Hungarian Operations Research Society,,the Wagner Prize of INFORMS, and the Outstanding Innovation in Service Science Engineering Award of IISE. He is a Fellow of the Fields Institute, INFORMS and SIAM, and serves as Vice President of INFORMS.
