About Me
Dr. Liang Song is a world-class engineer and entrepreneur in smart wireless systems, an emerging area of artificial intelligence (AI) and next-generation wireless systems. Due to his contributions in both L2 cognitive multi-hop wireless networks and distributed AI, large-scale and ubiquitous smart infrastructure can be possible, by interconnecting smart terminals with data sensing, wireless communications, and processing. His work represented Canada in 5G telecommunications, impacting all cellular subscribers; and is leading the development of global smart infrastructure. Dr. Song has received world-wide recognitions, and mentored over fifty graduate students, younger researchers and business managers/executives partly through his honorary professorships.
