Professor Marco Amabili of McGill University is an international leader in education and research in mechanical engineering. His specialty is mechanical vibrations and fluid-structure interactions and his research has made tremendous progress in nonlinear vibrations of structural components. He is the author of a large number of highly-cited scientific contributions in prestigious journals and he is the sole author of two monographs published by Cambridge University Press. He serves in editorial positions in several top ranked scientific journals. Dr. Amabili was recognized by valued awards at his home institution and internationally.
