Executive Jean Gaulin has played an eminent role in the development and operation of Ultramar's major oil refinery in St. Romuald near Quebec City, which currently produces 250,000 barrels a day. This is rated as the most productive oil refinery in North America, and one of the best in the world. Jean Gaulin has been President and CEO of several large public firms in Canada and abroad, including Gaz Métropolitain in Montreal, Ultramar Canada, Ultramar PLC, and Ultramar Diamond Shamrock. Since 2002, he has served on the Boards of several companies, including Crane, Saputo, Rona, Bombardier Recreative Products, and the National Bank of Canada.
