Letourneau, Nicole

About Me


Nicole Letourneau is Professor and Chair in Parent-Infant Mental Health in the Faculties of Nursing and Medicine (Pediatrics) at the University of Calgary and past Canada Research Chair in Healthy Child Development. Receiving over $30 million in funding, her research is community-based and seeks to (1) understand the influence of caregiver stress on infant/child development and (2) develop and test mitigating interventions. She has received many awards including induction into Canada's Top 40 Under 40 (2007). She authored Scientific Parenting: What Science Reveals About Parental Influence (2013), published by Dundurn, as well as nearly 90 peer-reviewed papers and 15 chapters.
