Prof. James Haslett of the University of Calgary has contributed in a substantial and sustained way, for over 48 years, to microelectronics-based research and technology transfer to industry, in Canada and internationally. He has also contributed to the training and advancement of hundreds of professionals as a teacher, administrator and researcher. His innovative research on noise in electronic devices and circuits, satellite instrumentation, high temperature electronics for oilfield down-hole instrumentation, and wireless communication systems has been recognized nationally and internationally.
