Dr. Richard Glazier is known internationally for his research on the equity and effectiveness of primary care health services. Primary health care is the foundation of health systems world-wide, yet little is known about optimally organizing care including paying health workers, deploying inter professional teams, using
information technology or coordinating care. Dr. Glazier's research focus on the Ontario experience of large-scale primary care reform has illuminated many advances but also highlighted pitfalls than can exacerbate
inequities and limit benefits to patients and health systems. His research informs Canadian and international decision-makers and clinicians about how best to provide health care services.
