Carolyn Gotay is a psychologist and researcher. Her long career in cancer prevention and control research includes leadership roles in academia and in the community. She has published over 175 manuscripts and has received national and international support for her research.
Dr. Gotay is an outstanding leader who works beyond the academy to improve the health of Canadians. She has headed pan-Canadian initiatives in cancer control. In addition, she directs the Cancer Prevention Centre, a partnership between the Canadian Cancer Society and the University of British Columbia. Dr. Gotay's work has shaped cancer prevention activities in Canada and internationally.
