A professor at the University of Alberta, Dr.
Sunita Vohra is a pediatrician and clinician scientist whose research program
is internationally recognized for its cutting-edge research and innovation. In
response to intense patient interest in complementary and alternative medicine,
Dr. Vohra developed Canada's first academic pediatric integrative medicine
program which rigorously evaluates the safety and effectiveness of these
popular therapies. Her program has led the way in improving how benefit and
harms are measured and reported, providing innovations that benefit
patient-centred research, regardless of which therapy is being studied
(conventional or alternative).
