About Me
Dr. Straus is a geriatrician and clinical epidemiologist. She is the Director of Knowledge Translation for the Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute and the Division Director for Geriatric Medicine at the University of Toronto. Her research interests include knowledge translation and
quality of care, the accuracy of diagnostic tests, and mentorship. Her research has influenced practice and medical education. She is the author of 3 textbooks including, ‘Evidence-based Medicine: How to practice and teach it', ‘Knowledge Translation in Health Care', and ‘Mentorship
in Academic Medicine'. She was awarded a Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Knowledge Translation and Quality of Care.
