About Me
Dr. Estelle Simons is a nationally and internationally recognized clinician scientist and role model in allergy and clinical immunology. She has developed innovative approaches for investigation of the clinical pharmacology, efficacy and safety of many of the medications used in the treatment of allergic diseases. She is a leading authority on epinephrine (adrenaline) administration in anaphylaxis. Her innovative research has helped to move the pharmacologic treatment of allergic diseases from an empirical basis to a scientific basis and to reduce their morbidity and mortality. Through leadership roles in the World Allergy Organization, she contributes to the improvement of global health.
