About Me


Dr. Jane Rylett is Distinguished University Professor of Physiology and Pharmacology at Western University and Scientist at the Robarts Research Institute. She is a leading international figure in the field of dementia research and the development of a national research agenda to defeat Alzheimer's disease. Her research integrates neurodegenerative disease, neuropharmacology and cell biology, and focuses on the study of drug actions at the cellular and molecular levels, to determine their impact on neurotransmission, disease progression and treatment. Her laboratory is involved in studies of modifiable risk factors and disease comorbidities, such as diabetes, that could increase the development of Alzheimer's disease.
