About Me
Dr. Christopher Power is a physician-scientist, trained at the Universities of Toronto, Ottawa and Western Ontario, McMaster and Johns Hopkins and the National Institutes of Health in medicine, neurology and virology. He is a Professor at the University of Alberta and holds a CRC (T1) in Neurological Infection and Immunity. His research group is recognized nationally and internationally for discoveries and descriptions of viral infections of the nervous system with the associated innate immune responses. He has trained and mentored many students, fellows and residents who have gone on to successful careers in medicine, science, industry and government. He has served on and chaired multiple government, university and community advisory and review committees.
