About Me
Dr. Mitchell has an international reputation as a practitioner of excellence in the science of heart rhythm disturbances. He was the Inaugural Head of the Department of Cardiac Sciences and the Inaugural Director of the Libin Cardiovascular Institute of Alberta at the University of
Calgary and Calgary Zone of Alberta Health Services. His other contributions include publication of hundreds of original research papers in the best journals of cardiology, hundreds of research and educational presentations around the globe, service to practice guideline creation in Canada and in the United States, and training of the next generation of heart rhythm practitioners.
