About Me


Géza Joós, Professor, McGill University, is widely recognized for his exceptional contributions to power engineering, including pioneering work in the application of power electronics to power systems, and the development of new technologies to enhance power quality. He is founder and Executive Director of the industry-funded Institute of Electrical Power Engineering, an innovative teaching and research entity regrouping students and faculty from various universities in Quebec. He is the author of more than 60 refereed journal papers, some 170 refereed international conference papers, a textbook, and a book chapter. He is very active in professional societies and industry interest groups.
