About Me
Dr. Stewart Harris has achieved international renown for his research on Type 2 diabetes mellitus in high-risk populations, including Aboriginal Canadians and new immigrants, as well as translational research on improving the management of diabetes in primary care settings. Dr. Harris is Professor of Family Medicine at Western University, where he holds the Ian McWhinney Chair in Family Medicine Studies as well as Canadian Diabetes Association Chair in Diabetes Management, one of two nationally funded Chairs in Diabetes by the Canadian Diabetes Association.
