About Me
Dr. Eisenhauer is an international leader in the field of cancer clinical trials. Through her founding and leadership of the Investigational New Drug Program of the NCIC Clinical Trials Group, Dr. Eisenhauer has overseen >200 phase I-III trials that included almost 5,500 patients and tested > 100 new anti-cancer drugs. Her work led to new standards of cancer treatment, new understandings of how molecular mechanisms of cancer can be altered by therapeutic invention, and placed Canada at the international forefront of anti-cancer therapy development. Her commitment to the translation of research-into-practice has led to leadership roles in cancer control organizations across Canada.
