About Me
Mr. Newell has spent his entire career in the Canadian oil industry and has distinguished himself by his technology eladership, particularly in oil sands development, as well as in education, aboriginal development and safety while assuming increasing responsibilities with Syncrude Canada Ltd, where he was Chairman and CEO. He is a Chancellor Emeritus of the University of Alberta.
