Élie Saheb is an extremely versatile engineer and an administrator of high level technological projects with a rich experience in management, in Quebec and overseas, also numerous achievements in applied research and in experimental development. He now runs the destinies of Hydro-Quebec in the field of research, technological and industrial development including new energy systems. He was in charge of the engineering and construction of production and transportation equipment of Hydro-Quebec (more than 500 engineers and an annual budget of a billion dollars). He was part of the team that reestablished the transportation network of Hydro-Quebec at the time of the ice storm in 1998 and worked skillfully with the Cree and Inuit communities as well with the Quebec government in the hydroelectric development of the Bay James and Northern Quebec. He is very socially involved as well.
