Dr. Eric Yoshida exemplifies the attributes required to be a leader and a key voice in discussions regarding ongoing health care delivery in Canada. Having been an integral component and the driving force behind the University of British Columbia's Hepatology Program, he has not only secured a reputable national profile for this department, but also, at the same time written numerous scholarly articles, and been an excellent mentor for the next generation of hepatologists. His tireless commitment towards improving the well being of patients with liver disease in BC, may now be equally applied to national health care issues.
