Dr. Weihong Song is a Professor and Canada Research Chair in Alzheimer's Disease at The University of British Columbia. He is recognized internationally as one of the world's leading researchers on Alzheimer's Disease. His seminal research has defined Alzheimer pathogenesis and drug development and the mechanism underlying development of Alzheimer Disease in Down Syndrome. He has served on numerous international grant review panels and journals' editorial boards. Dr. Song has made major contribution in forging crucial Canada-China collaborations on health research and education. He has received numerous awards including the 2011 "Friendship Award", China’s highest honor for foreign experts.
