About Me

Dorina C. Petriu has made outstanding contributions to software engineering research and engineering education. Her work on software performance engineering is of great importance for computer, telecommunication and other IT-based industries using mission critical real-time and embedded systems. She is recognized for pioneering contributions in bridging the gap between performance analysis and model-driven software development based on the Unified Modeling Language, a known standard for software specification and design. As Professor and former Director of the School of Information Technology at Carleton University, she is a mentor and role model for many generations of engineering students and young professors.
