Founded in 1979, AIM Independent Living Center is a nonprofit organization that provides supports and services to people with disabilities. AIM serves people of all ages, with any type of disability. AIM promotes independence, integration and self-determination. In addition to serving the individual, AIM provides assistance and consultation to families and the greater community.

The Chemung County Humane Society and SPCA, Inc. is a private, non-profit humane organization. Since 1891, the Chemung County SPCA has been the only not-for-profit organization devoted to the care of the stray, homeless, abused and abandoned animals of Chemung County. In fact, more than 75 percent of our operating budget depends entirely on contributions from our community. We are not a county agency nor state affiliation, but are funded by donations, bequests, fees and dog control contracts with Chemung County and most of the townships in Chemung County.
