This grassroots organization grew out of Burlington's largest Facebook group, Burlington Together, in September 2023. The initial team was made up of administrators from Burlington Together, local small business owners and enthusiastic Burlington residents, all of whom wanted to make a difference. Following a successful 90 day campaign to raise food and funds for local Burlington food support organizations and other charities, the Burlington Helping Burlington team decided to become a permanent member of the local not-for-profit and charitable sector.
