Are you interested in learning to curl?  Then the Burlington Curling Club's Learn to Curl Program is for you!

The Learn to Curl program at BCC is a great way to get a good introduction to the sport of curling. All you need to get started in the program are a pair of clean, rubber-soled running shoes, some warm clothes with a bit of stretch to them, and a desire to learn and have fun!

We will have 2 Learn to Curl Programs for the 2024-25 Curling Season  The Fall Program will run throughout the day on Saturdays for 5 sessions starting after Thanksgiving.  The Winter Session will run during the day on Saturdays for 5 Sessions, starting in February.

Each week volunteer coaches provide instruction for the program both on and off the ice. You will start by learning the basics of the game and how to move around safely on the ice. Coaches then begin teaching you how to throw a rock. They will give you plenty of time to practice and develop your skills while providing tips and suggestions to help you perfect your delivery. From there, the program introduces sweeping, game mechanics, basic strategy, and scoring, and eventually moves you into game play.  After the program is completed, you should have the necessary skills and understanding of the game to participate in one or more of our many leagues.  After completion of the program, there is an opportunity to participate in one of our club bonspiels (for an additional cost).

The cost for the program is $129.00 HST.  This includes 5 instructional sessions with coaching, 2 grippers, and the use of club brooms, stabilizers, and delivery sticks.
