The Spoonery was created in 2003 by artisan Matt Dondale, who had been carving since the age of 11. Matt had broken a few spoons in the family kitchen and after his wife Tanya teased him that she'd soon have to start baking with a stick, Matt immediately rose to the challenge of replacing them.
