We are hosting our FREE popular Dungeon Introduction and Etiquette class at the event venue starting at 6p. Come check out the space ahead of time and learn what to expect at the party! See below for more details.
Volunteers receive free entry to the event. The Volunteer list is posted on the Society of Janus Fetlife group.
Tickets may be transferred to another person by the ticket holder contacting us and letting us know who will be taking the ticket. Some cheaper, community access tickets will be made available to those with financial need. To transfer a ticket or request a community access ticket, email janus@soj.org.
SOJ members get a $20 discount off admission. Non-members who buy a standard ticket will also get a promo code to apply towards an SOJ membership.

Covid Vaccination and Testing Policy:
Ticket sales are final except in the case of a positive Covid test or recent exposure. If you have a known, close exposure to Covid within the last 5 days, DO NOT come to this event, regardless of testing status. Your ticket will be refunded.
To attend our event, you must be vaccinated against Covid with a full first round and at least one booster. You must also have a negative day-of Covid test. Please be ready with your vaccination card and a time-stamped/dated image of your negative rapid test taken the same day (day of the event) at the door. THIS INCLUDES VOLUNTEERS.

About the Party
Remember the fun (and sexual tension) of Prom? Relive a special night, but with a kinky twist. Condoms and lube will be freely available, and sex is encouraged at the Kink Prom!
Doesn't matter if you're coming stag, or bringing a date (or two). This is going to be a fun night of play and socializing! So dig out a tux or prom dress (or find them at the thrift store), maybe rip or cut it off as the night goes on. But there is no dress code at this party. You come dress to the nines in your best evening wear, or come in your best leathers or fetish attire. Wear nothing at all if you want. Wear what makes you comfortable. The great thing about prom this time around is you can do and wear what you want.
We will be customizing a playlist that features music from the 80's, 90's, 2000's, and 2010's that will progress throughout the night. So no matter when your prom was, nostalgia will abound.
The atmosphere will be sexy and fun. Ask that special someone for a dance in the back room, or a beating in the dungeon. We'll bring light snacks to fuel your sexy fun.

The Ignite party series is designed to be a welcoming place for newcomers in addition to experienced players. As always, our parties emphasize socializing and meeting new people in addition to the hot scenes going on. It's all about the community coming together and having a great time, so everyone of all roles, experience level, orientations, and gender identity are always welcomed at SoJ events. Public parties are all about being able to live out your fantasies safely using the venue's equipment for play and social spaces to meet wonderful people. This is a place where you can ask questions of the party host, ambassadors, dungeon monitors, and more experienced players. Just please just don't interrupt anyone while they are playing!
This party isn't just open to newcomers. It is open to anyone looking for a fun and connective time with other folx in the Bay Area Kink Community. (Please note: This party IS NOT intended to be a place to cruise for new players. Aggressive cruising will not be tolerated. This is a place to have fun, meet people, and bring the community together.)

Accessibility Notes
There will be music playing at a volume that fills the space, but isn't blaringly loud. Ear plugs will be available if desired.
There will be colored lighting in various areas, but we avoid rapidly shifting colors.
The first floor is fully accessible and has social and play space. The basement is only accessible via stairs and has more play equipment.

PARTY RULES

Consent & Respect
- Do not touch anyone or their belongings without explicit permission, even if they have given you permission in the past.
- This includes any part of the person, hair, clothing, toys, equipment they have brought, hugging, etc.
- Do not use pet names, honorifics, praise, or potentially violating terms without explicit permission from the involved person(s).
- Inclusivity and diversity are core to SOJ's mission. We aim to provide space for folks of all genders, sexualities, races, abilities, ages, religions, and more. There is zero tolerance for hate speech of any kind.
- Respect sexuality, gender identities, and pronouns.
- If a person has a name tag on, please call them by that name unless explicitly told to use another.
- Do not engage in any play or activities without enthusiastic and informed prior permission. For specific consent guidelines, please see more at: https://soj.org/consent/
- Do not engage in any negotiations, play, or activities while or with someone intoxicated (NOTE: alcohol and other substances are not permitted at this event).
- Every participant in a scene has the right to withdraw consent at any point.
- Be self aware.
- Don't let your conversations or volume in play areas disrupt scenes.
- Don't direct any unsolicited comments at people who are playing.
- Do not interrupt scenes, including attempting to join or otherwise engage or negotiate with people who are in a scene.
- Watching should be done from a respectful distance with no leering.
- No masturbating, except when involved and agreed upon as part of a scene.
Safety
The house safe word is SAFEWORD. Calling SAFEWORD will call for help from outside the scene.
- Suspension is allowed on appropriate hard points and rigs only. Self-suspension on those elements is allowed with prior notification to the DM on duty.
- If your scene will include wax, blood or sharps, you must talk to the party host and make sure you have a safe area and needed supplies for safety and cleanliness. Any candles used must be extinguished when not in-hand.
- If your scene will include consensual non-consent or the appearance of lack of consent, you must inform a DM before playing.
- No drugs or alcohol, including smoking or vaping, are allowed within the party. Outdoor smoking and vaping may be allowed in designated areas at certain venues (please check with the hosts).
- Anyone visibly intoxicated will be asked to leave without credit or refund.
- Do not lock people into or onto equipment at any point.
If you are unsure if your scene may break a house or venue rule, please find a Dungeon/Play Monitor or Party Host and ask before playing.
Play that is prohibited at all events includes:
- Breath play
- Piss Play
- Scat (fecal) play
- Fire Play
Etiquette
- No Cell Phones allowed. If you need to text or take a call, step outside to do so.
- Recordings and photos are prohibited at SOJ play parties except by designated house photographers at specific events.
- Equipment is first come, first serve.
- Reserving equipment is not allowed.
- As our spaces are shared, please be conscientious in how long you utilize any single piece of equipment for.
- Clean up after yourself.
- Use preventative measures – floor pads, condoms, gloves, etc. to minimize spread of bodily fluids.
- Use the provided cleaning supplies to clean up and sanitize all equipment used after playing.
- Dress in street-appropriate attire until you are inside the play venue.
- If you see something, say something. If you have any questions or concerns, find a Play Space/Dungeon Monitor (orange armband or safety vests) or the Party Host.
