Ajani (AJ) Dunn, FACHE, chief administrative officer of Mayo Clinic in Florida, provides leadership and oversight for Mayo Clinic in Florida in partnership with Kent Thielen, M.D., chief executive officer of Mayo Clinic in Florida.
Mr. Dunn began his career at Mayo Clinic as an administrative fellow and most recently was chair of Advanced Care at Home and Digital Practice Strategy. He holds the academic rank of assistant professor of health care systems engineering, Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science, and is a member of the Mayo Clinic Board of Trustees, and the Mayo Clinic Executive Operations and Mayo Clinic Administrative teams.
Mr. Dunn earned his bachelor's degree in physical therapy and a master's degree in health care administration at the University of Florida. Prior to chairing Advanced Care at Home and Digital Practice Strategy, he held numerous leadership roles at Mayo Clinic in Florida, including associate administrator for Hospital Operations and Medicine, and operations administration for Medicine, Hospital Operations, Surgery and Individualized Medicine.
Board certified in healthcare management as a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives, Mr. Dunn is passionate about education, leadership development and civic engagement.
Mr. Dunn serves on the Board of the Nonprofit Center of Northeast Florida, the Board of Directors for the World Affairs Council of Jacksonville, and as a regent at-large for the American College of Healthcare Executives.
