Working Toward an Inclusive Festival Landscape

Film festivals play an important role in the movie ecosystem, helping filmmakers find their audience. But a forthcoming report from Filmmakers with Disabilities-Documentary (FWD-Doc) Film Event Accessibility Working Group (FEAW), and Film Festival Alliance (FFA), finds that festivals are not welcoming all filmmakers. FEAW's Cassidy Dimon will be on hand to share how festivals can change their practices (and how you can help them). Also on hand will be festival programmer and WIFV Member, Andrea Passafiume, to talk through how the Seattle Deaf Film Festival practices inclusion and ensures access.
