COGNITIVE ASSESSMENT web2: What Does Cognitive Assessment Measure?
professional discussion in webinar format
This is an opportunity for both experienced educational psychologists and those who are new to the profession to engage in guided discussion with colleagues about the place of cognitive assessment within an ecological framework in Aotearoa New Zealand. Opportunities to share thoughts, experiences and ask questions will be encouraged by using the chat function during the webinar.
Cognitive assessment measures just a ‘snapshot' of a person's skills – but what is "in the frame?" This webinar will offer a quick dive into the core cognitive processes assessed in the two main cognitive assessment tools used in New Zealand (the WISC-V and Woodcock-Johnson IV) and how they might relate to a person's experience in the classroom and in life.
