The Louisiana Nursing Home Association (LNHA) invites directors of nursing, nurses in leadership, administrators and other long-term care professionals to attend a two-day workshop titled, "Clinical Operations in Nursing Facilities" on May 29-30, 2024, at the Paragon Casino Resort in Marksville.

Attendees will learn from experts in the long-term care profession, covering a range of important subjects such as wound care prevention and management, quality measures methodology, reporting fraud and abuse, psychotropic medication regulations for dementia, anxiety, depression and psychosis and effective skills and strategies to manage mental illness and behaviors in a facility. In addition, representatives from the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) will offer insights into frequently cited deficiencies and offer practical strategies for achieving compliance. This workshop promises to be an invaluable resource for nurses aspiring to leadership roles and will also serve as a beneficial refresher for experienced directors of nursing.
