A workshop on accuracy of translation of government and bureaucratic concepts from English to other languages. Truthful to the Source, Respectful of the Audience. It frequently happens to us translators to come across official documents that require translation from English. They can be from federal, provincial, or municipal government bodies. Government bureaucracy and terminology is not always our expertise. And all of us have witnessed translated official documents which were not useful for the audience because they were unable to define complicated bureaucratic concepts in the destination language. How do we solve this challenge? As a certified translator who also worked extensively with multiple government offices in different capacities, I would like to offer some insight to strengthen our work.With Amir Bajehkian, C.T.
