You've got the script, now you need the actors! In this workshop, Anne Chapman will share how to run a casting call; how to get your script in front of an actor; how to work with a casting director; what types of parts would someone want to play; basics on SAG-AFTRA considerations; and a general idea of fees and expectations. This workshop is a public part of the Narrative Script Development Fellowship for July. Presenter Bio:Anne Chapman's casting journey began over 30 years ago on Child's Play and Uncle Buck. She is Virginia based and specializes in independent and small-scale film and television projects. Casting credits include Lincoln, Loving, Big Stone Gap, Harriet, Juanita, Macbeth Unghinged and Gavagai, as well as scores of short films, commercials, PSAs and museum films including more than 100 35-mm student films. She holds a BA in Theatre & Film and a Masters in Cinema and was a visiting scholar at the University of Cambridge for the 2018-2019 academic year. She has been nominated for Casting Society of America's Artios Awards three times, was the 2015 Film Honoree for the Theresa Pollak Prizes in Excellence in the Arts, is a member of the CSA, BAFTA, BIFA, the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences and is a past President of the Virginia Production Alliance and served as the Workforce Development Director for the Virginia Film Office.
