Registration for CTTIC Certification Exam in Court Interpreting - Written Components (IN-PERSON) - Afternoon Session

For Court Interpreting, the exam is available in the following languages:

• Cantonese
• Farsi
• Japanese
• Korean
• Mandarin
• Punjabi
• Spanish 

If your language is not available, please contact our Membership Coordinator at office@stibc.org to discuss the possibility to apply for Certification on Dossier.

Dictionaries and reference works are NOT permitted for any of the Interpretation Exams. The use of electronic devices is strictly prohibited. The interpretation written exams are HANDWRITTEN only.

Only 4 candidates will be accommodated per session. Candidates are required to wear a mask throughout
the exam, unless they have a medical condition and can provide a doctor's note. Social distancing and hand sanitizer will be guaranteed in the exam room.

Eligibility:

All candidates must be STIBC members in good standing. Please note that candidates are only allowed to take the same type of exam (translation, community/court/medical written component) in a specific language combination ONCE per year.

Refund policy: 

Candidates registering for a CTTIC exam through STIBC are required to pay the cost of the exam plus a NON-REFUNDABLE administrative fee of $50.00.

Cancellation policy:

1. Requests for cancellation without financial penalty must be received by the Exam Coordinator by e-mail (ctticexam@stibc.org) at least 30 days before the scheduled date of the examination.


2. No refunds will be given for cancellation requests received within 30 days of the exam. In the case of an officially documented medical reason that prevents the candidate from writing the exam, STIBC will refund a percentage of the exam price, subject to CTTIC's refund policy.


3. The candidate shall pay in full (100%) for any rescheduled examination + administrative fee.
