Registration: Registration fee includes the Workshop sessions, as well as Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday breakfasts and lunches, refreshment breaks, Sunday reception, Monday night event and Tuesday dinner.  You will receive two drink tickets for each of the three social events with your Workshop Registration package.  Spouse and Guests who wish to attend a social event MUST purchase event tickets or the companion program. Admission to all social functions and sessions is by display of badge (tickets when applicable). Registration packages must be picked up at the Registration Desk in the hotel during the designated registration times.  

Cancellations/Refunds/Substitutions Policy:
 Refunds, subject to a $100 cancellation fee (plus applicable taxes), will be made upon written notification of cancellation, which must be received by August 31, 2023, 5:00 pm EDT. No refunds will be given after August 31, 2023 – only delegate substitution will be accepted (a substitute for a member registrant must be a member from the same company). The Association will use its best efforts to incorporate in the Workshop packages and materials any registration change or substitution which occurs after August 31, 2023. If Government Restrictions prevent the Workshop from happening in-person, the program will be moved to a virtual format and price adjustments will be made. 

Late Registrations/Ticket Purchases:  
Late Registrations and event ticket purchases made after the September 30th deadline, will be subject to availability and will incur a surcharge of $50.00 (plus applicable taxes).

The reservation cut-off date is Monday, September 22nd (Note: The group block for the conference tends to fill up quickly, so reserve your rooms
early).  The CPTA has negotiated a group rate of $189/night, for single or double occupancy (plus applicable taxes and fees).   When making your reservations, make sure to quote the CPTA group rate "CPTA 2023" or
reserve online by clicking here.  The room rate may be available a few days prior and after the event, based on availability for those wanting to extend their stay. Reservations requested after the room block is filled, or beyond the cut-off date of September 25th, are not guaranteed and subject to hotel availability. Dress: 
 For the Conference, dress is business casual, with a reminder; meeting room temperatures and personal comfort ranges vary. Since meeting rooms always seem cool, please bring a sweater or jacket.  Please note that this year's Gala dinner will be replaced with a lobster dinner and casual attire is recommended; there will be no cocktail or semi-formal event this year.  The Sunday night welcome reception and Monday pub crawl will both be casual / business casual.   If you plan to do a Sunday excursion, please be sure to consult the excursion's recommended dress, as these will be outdoors.


Social Events
: There are three planned social events during the Workshop: the Sunday Welcome Reception, Monday Pub Crawl and Tuesday Dinner.  Delegates and Registered spouses/guests will receive two drink tickets for each reception.  Please be sure to register your spouse or guests for these events, as participation will be restricted to registered individuals. Admittance is by badge only.

New this year – Guided Tours:  For those wanting to experience the Moncton area, we have organized a few guided tours to some of the most popular destinations. These tours are optional and not included in your registration fee.  For more information on the Guided Tour options and the cost, go to the "Guided Tours" tab on the website. Please note that the minimum number of registrants must be met for the tour to proceed.  If a tour minimum is not met, the option to switch tours will be provided or refunds will be issued.

Workshop Re-certification and CPD Credits:


  • Alberta Assessors Association (AAA) – 10 Learning Credits and 4 General Credits for the full program. 

  • Association of Assessing Officers of Manitoba (AAOM) – Full attendance: 15 credit hours. 

  • Appraisal Institute of Canada (AIC) - 12 CPD Credits

  • *new* International Association of Assessing Officers (IAAO): 12.75 hours of continuing education 

  • Institute of Municipal Assessors (IMA) – 14.5 CPD credits: 12.5 Learning and 2 General

  • Law Society of British Columbia – 14 hour of CPD Credits

  • Saskatchewan Assessment Appraisers' Association (SAAA) - 14 CPD Hours

  • Law Society of Ontario (LSO) - accredited for 1.5 hours of EDI Professionalism content and 1.5 hours of Professionalism content, with more than ten hours of content that can count towards the substantive requirement.                                                                                                  

You may wish to bring a laptop, tablet or a pad and pen for note-taking.                                                   

Photos/videos will be taken at this event and registration lists will be compiled. These photos/videos and lists may be published in CPTA publications, presentations, social media platforms and on our website. Registration and attendance at, or participation in, CPTA meetings and other activities constitutes an agreement by the registrant and attendee to CPTA's use and distribution of the registrant
and attendee's name, image or voice, in photographs, videos and electronic reproductions, of such events and activities.
