An Intro to Last Planner System

Curious about the Last Planner System and how it can help project teams deliver on time, on budget, with quality? Interested in how to use collaboration to determine how project work will be carried out? Then this session is for you! The Last Planner System was designed by construction for construction. Its goal is to help teams produce predictable workflow and rapid learning throughout all phases of a project.

Join us for this introductory workshop outlining the 5 elements of the Last Planner System and how they are linked through continuous learning:

Master Schedule: Capture major milestones and interim milestones for the project.
Phase Pull Plan: Involve trades to collaboratively determine hand-offs and durations.
Look-Ahead: Identify and remove constraints early.
Weekly Work Plan: Make commitments regarding the work that will be completed.
Daily Huddles: Stay connected and adjust the plan as needed.

The Speaker:

Christy Nikel is the President and Principal of Lean U Consulting, located in Kelowna, BC. As a Master Lean Black Belt with more than 18 years of experience teaching and applying the tools, her goal is to share Lean thinking in a practical, effective and energizing way. Christy is also CCW's Vice President and she's thrilled to share this tool with our valued members and anyone interested in improving project reliability.

* CCW Fitness Challenge - At our Annual AGM, we inquired about what we could do to make your membership more enjoyable. One of our suggestions was a CCW Member Fitness Challenge and the response was overwhelming!

So who is ready to step to the challenge? We have put together a fun fitness format that is achievable by everyone of different fitness levels. Available to CCW Members and Sponsors, we will share our progress and successes through a private social platform and the leader will be awarded a Winner's Package.
